Bridges to Growth

Bridges To Growth Resource Center offers a free library that circulates children’s toys, games, puzzles, music, books, and other materials that are not only fun,  but also aid children in their learning and development. 

Opened in December of 1999, this resource center has already had over 15,000 visits from parents, grandparents, teachers, both pre-school and public school, mentors, and childcare providers who use the free toy lending and resource library or attend training.  BTG also provides a workroom, complete with laminator, die-cuts and copier for daycare workers, and offers a full calendar of workshops for childcare providers, bilingual parent education classes, and fun age appropriate pre-school activities that improve parent-child communication skills and boost school readiness. The first campus-based BTG opened recently inside Williams Elementary School, a local 3-5^th campus serving approximately 65% low income students.

Bridges To Growth Resource Center is located at 605 E. University, Georgetown, Texas.  (This is the building on stilts next to Williams Elementary School.)

New Hours Beginning February 3

Beginning Tuesday, February 3, Bridges to Growth Resource Center will go to extended evening hours for those patrons who work. Our new hours will be Tuesdays 12:30 - 7:00 P.M. and Wednesdays 9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. We will be closed on Thursdays.

Added Location for Lending Library Services:

Beginning immediately, we have extended the lending library services by adding the Williams School location. This means that you are able to borrow materials from either The Williams or Community Resource Center locations. Available resources (click here).  The hours of operation for the Williams Center are Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 A.M. -
2 P.M. The Williams location has more bilingual English/Spanish materials than the Community Resource Center location. They also have all the same type of toys and you do not have to have children in Williams to use the Williams Bridges to Growth Center. It is located in Room 11; please sign-in at the school office each time you visit. Laminating and die cut services are not available at Williams, but are available at the Community Resource Center during our regular hours of operation only.
