Lending LibraryBridges to Growth offers a free library that circulates infant and toddler toys, puzzles, music, books that are not only fun, but also aid children in their learning and development. Reference books for parents and childcare providers on child development, activities, discipline, special needs, and more; as well as bilingual materials including big books, games, parent books, puzzles that are in Spanish or English/Spanish are also available for borrowing. Materials are loaned for a three-week period. Bridges to Growth donated a large collection of toys, books, games, puzzles for older children to the Georgetown Public Library recently. Check with the Children's Librarian there on their availability.
To be eligible to borrow materials from the Bridges to Growth Resource Center,
please stop by during our hours of operation and complete a registration form.
This will be kept on file and a client card will be made. This card is kept at
Bridges. Each time you visit, please stop by the circulation desk and sign
in. You can then browse our shelves and choose materials.
Stop by the circulation desk with the materials you wish to borrow. Your client
card will be accessed and the material is checked out to you for a three-week
period. Should you need an extension, please phone
Bridges at (512) 864-3008 during operating hours and we will try and extend your
reservation of the material. Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10 am - 7 pm. Bridges to Growth is located in the Community Resource Center at 805 West University. (corner of Scenic and W. University Avenue).
